NIOS TMA Preparation Guidelines for 2026

To ensure the assignment is valid and scores high marks (up to 20% weightage):

1.   Handwriting Requirement: All TMAs must be handwritten by the learner. Typed or printed assignments are not accepted and may lead to disqualification.

2.   Formatting: Use A4-size ruled sheets (one side ruled, one side blank is often preferred). Use a black pen for questions and a blue pen for answers.

3.   Cover Page: Include a mandatory front page with your Name, Enrollment Number, Subject Code, Subject Name, and Study Centre (AI) Code.

4.   Structure: Organize answers with clear headings, subheadings, and bullet points. Include diagrams or flowcharts where applicable.

Important Last Dates to Submit NIOS TMA for April 2026 Exam

• April 2026 Exams: Submit by January 31, 2026.
• October/November 2026 Exams: Submit by July 31, 2065 (No extended date).

 Nios TMA Submission Process (Online Only)

As of 2026, NIOS primarily requires online submission for Stream-1 learners through the NIOS Student Portal. 

1.   Log In: Access your dashboard using your enrollment number.

2.   Download/Upload TMA: Locate the "Tutor Marked Assignment" section and select "Upload TMA".

3.   Select Subject: Choose the specific subject and medium (e.g., English, Hindi).

4.   Upload PDF: Scan each subject's handwritten assignment into a separate PDF file (usually under 5MB) and click "Submit".
